When a death occurs, what should be done in the first few moments?
If the death occurs at home, the first thing to do is to call in a medical examiner: call 1733. He or she will then certify the death and issue a certificate (also known as a Model 3C). Before we arrive, please have your loved one’s identity card and death certificate ready so that we can start the administrative procedures as soon as possible. Please also remember to provide us with clothing so that we can carry out any introductory care.
